Battle Creek Safari offers you safari hunting experiences with an array of hunting packages, boasting a variety of game to choose from. Hunting packages will be tailored made and personalized to your requirements and scheduled around you and your family’s activities.
We have two lodges on the property, Uber Chic Luxury Lodge and an exclusive luxury use Hunting Villa.
Spend time on the shooting range getting your eye in, or experience what it is like to fire a weapon in a controlled and safe environment. This range has been used to train security and bodyguard personnel.
Archery is one of the oldest arts still practiced today and was Initially used for warfare. Modern archery can offer a rewarding event and skill learned or practiced.
Clay Pigeon Shooting
Clay pigeon shooting is also known as clay target shooting and is formally known as inanimate bird shooting. It is the art of shooting a firearm at special flying targets, known as clay pigeons or clay targets.
Mouthwatering traditional South African cuisine will be served during your stay. We offer uniquely South African dining. Experience traditional venison ‘potjies’ prepared on an open fire in one of our bomas. A must on every trip is a South African ‘braai’ while enjoying a sundowner. Enjoy a morning or afternoon at one of our picnic spots in a carefully selected area on the farm.
Decks & Infinity Pool
Uniquely positioned overhanging decks with an infinity pool on the “edge” – a perfect way to enjoy a drink of choice while watching the sunset. The main Bush Lodge boasts a number of magnificent inside and outside dining areas on decks overlooking the gorge.
The hunting villa has a deck stretch out across the central area and the waterhole – a perfect quiet spot to enjoy a long drink after a day of hunting.
A hidden gem at the Bush Lodge which can be utilized for private dinners, small meetings, or organized wine tastings. The Wine Cellar also offers the opportunity to browse and choose from an amazing selection of carefully chosen, highly-rated South African wines.
Enjoy an evening under the stars with a truly South African campfire in our Bus Boma.
Cycling, Hiking and Walking Trails
Bring your bikes and or walking shoes and enjoy the trails that have been clearly marked for your enjoyment. There is a 5km track and a 21km track around the farm for avid cyclists and trail runners
The farm boasts one of the biggest K9 dog and handler training facilities. Take time out to see the dogs at work as they are trained for detection and to combat poaching on the African continent. This is a working environment, so visits have to be booked in advance, and availability will be confirmed.
The villa has its own private conference area, which can hold up to 20 people for an executive breakaway.

For those who want to indulge, a spa offering massages and a steam room is available on request
Enjoy a morning or afternoon at one of our picnic spots carefully selected in secluded areas on the farm.
Something for everyone at the main Bush Lodge – enjoy time out in the games room and spend time interacting with the family. The games room offers TV, DSTV, table tennis, darts, and board games. The Hunting Villa has no television and aims to provide a secluded, private, off-the-grid type experience..
ACTIVITIES IN THE AREA
- Hot Air Balloon Rides: take to the skies and catch a glimpse of the Magaliesburg with a bird’s eye view – an amazing and memorable activity for the whole family.
- Cradle of Mankind: The Cradle of Humankind, one of eight World Heritage Sites in South Africa and the only one in Gauteng, is renowned as the place where humankind originated. It is one of the major tourist attractions in South Africa. The Cradle of Humankind area boasts 13 excavation sites that are recognized as national heritage sites both. For those wanting to experience the birthplace of humankind firsthand, the official visitor centers for the Cradle of Humankind, Maropengand the Sterkfontein Caves, are within an easy hour’s drive from the lodge.
- Sterkfontein Caves: Within the Sterkfontein Caves, scientists have discovered many hominid and other animal fossils, dating back more than a 4-million years to the birth of humanity. The most important and most famous of these fossils are “Mrs. Ples,” a 2.1-million-year-old Australopithecus skull, and “Little Foot,” an almost complete Australopithecus skeleton that is more than 3-million years old. These fossils, both found in the Sterkfontein Caves in the Cradle of Humankind, tell us much about the precursors of modern humans, Homo sapiens. An easy 1-hour drive from the lodge and an incredible family and authentic African experience.
